- Linear stability analysis, including Turing instability and chemical systems.
- Nonlinear States: Spatial periodicity, nonlinear oscillations, and waves.
- Exemplary models of pattern formation.
- Stationary patterns: Amplitude equations in 2 dimensional systems, defects and fronts, patterns far from threshold.
- Dynamical phenomena: Oscillatory patterns and excitable media.
- Numerical methods for the study of pattern-forming systems.
