Ampere biological solid-state NMR Summer School

Date: October 20-24, 2025
Technical University Munich
Institute of Advanced Studies (IAS)
Lichtenbergstr. 2a
85747 Garching
Germany
Under the auspices of the Groupement AMPERE

Following the successful tradition of earlier meetings in Berlin (2006/2021), Aarhus (2008/2023), Leiden (2010), Brno (2012), Munich (2014), Palma de Mallorca (2016/2018), the 10th international training school on solid-state NMR will be organized this year at the Technical University Munich in Garching. The course will take place in the time period 19.-24.10.2025. Garching is conveniently located close to the international airport of München and is easily reachable by public transportation. On the other hand, Munich is well connected in the national fast-train system. We intend to reserve ample time for social gathering and scientific interactions close to the lecture hall. These settings will allow for close contacts between the school attendees and the speakers during the school.

How to apply
In order to register, please submit your curriculum vitae (CV), a letter of recommendation and a poster abstract to biosolids2025@bnmrz.org. The application deadline for the summer school has been extended to the 10th of September 2025. The registration fee amounts to 150 Euro. After acceptance, an invoice will be issued by the Ampere Society that contains a link for secure credit card payment. The registration fee has to be transferred prior to the school to ensure participation. The registration fee includes conference registration, access to all sessions, coffee breaks, welcome reception, and conference dinner. Abstracts should not exceed 1 page and should include a title, all author names and their full affiliations. The name of the poster/short-talk presenter should be underlined. Participants will be selected based on their submitted abstracts or, if no poster or short talk is to be presented, on their cv and recommendation letter (for students/post-docs). Please be aware that the number of participants is limited. Please register as soon as possible.
Registration fee waivers are available for participants sponsored by the Ampere society. Selection of awardees is handled directly by the organizers. Applicants do not need to apply separately for these.
For applicants chosen to participate in the Summer School, please register by 15 September 2025.
Notes for Posters & Talks
We invite all participants to present their project as a flash talk on the first day of the school. The duration of the flash talk should be 2 minutes and a maximum of 2 power point slides. Posters should be portrait orientation, A0 size.
