Postdocs

You are expected to apply for grants, such as TUM, MSCA, HFSP, EMBO, or Humboldt. Of course, we will support you in the application process and prepare the grant proposal with you!

Doctorate

We are looking for a PhD student to start with us in Summer (Q2/Q3) 2026, ideally with (spatial) metabolomics or organoid experience. Theses and Research Internships

Motivated students interested in a research internship, Bachelor, or Master thesis can contact Prof. Strittmatter via email, please include your CV and transcripts.

You can choose between three different methodologies to study the metabolome of complex samples: 1) Dielectric barrier discharge ionisation of volatile organic compounds, 2) mass spectrometry imaging using DESI-MSI of tissues or cell cultures and 3) LC-MS/MS analysis to study the metabolome or perform drug metabolism studies. 

We are happy to accomodate own research ideas or can provide you with a topic within the area that interests you most. The projects will usually be supervised by one of the PhD students or Dr. Zborovsky.
