Ludwig Burger

Ludwig Burger earned his bachelor's degree in physics from the Technical University of Munich (TUM). After spending a year in Oxford, he returned to TUM to pursue a master's degree in biophysics. For his master's thesis, he investigated the robustness of genetic replication in the context of origins of life. Since 2023, Ludwig is a PhD student in the group. He continues his work on the origins of life while also exploring other emergent phenomena in biosystems, such as reaction-driven transport, and developing efficient methods for parameter inference in complex biological systems.
While he is not busy evaluating integrals or playing the organ, Ludwig enjoys pretending to give speeches in the Bavarian Parliament (see photo) and drinking enough coffee to hold fifth place in the department's coffee-consumption ranking.
