When CRISPR/Cas12a searches for its binding site in the presence of distracting DNA and RNA molecules
In biosensing and potentially also in applications in vivo CRISPR/Cas12a has to find its target site in the presence of many other DNA or RNA "background" molecules. In this paper we studied how such a nucleic acid background affects the search process, and which features in gRNA sequences are particularly detrimental in finding the target quickly.
